Small Group Learning Workshops
LISEC's Personalized Educational Conferences include an individual summary review,  research,  resources  and offers time to answer to your toughest questions.   We cannot provide specific investment, tax or legal advice.  However, LISEC  can  provide specific  research and  information that  is relative to  your  situation which  may  enable  you  to make  informed  decisions  about   planning  for  your   future.    Please  click on  LISEC's  "Planning Points" for topics covered in our Personalized Educational Conferences.

We do ask for donations which are tax deductible to help us cover operational costs so we are able to continue providing this valuable and much needed information.
LISEC Offers On-going Educational Support.

Our team of experienced professionals, including Certified Financial Planners™   and Certified Senior Advisors®, strongly believes that through the process of education everyone can save money and time.  In addition to providing various local Library workshops, LISEC provides individual educational conferences and small group learning classes.
  • Medicare Website training & Coordinating Your Health Benefits:  LISEC offers small group workshops conveniently in our Brightwaters location.   We provide laptop stations and educational handout materials for each class or training course.  LISEC students can learn about the Medicare options and the process of coordinating employer plans with Medicare supplemental health and drug policies.   
                                     * New laws make it necessary to review Medicare plans annually. 
                LISEC is proud to be a part of the Medicare Partnership Progarm. We do not solicit.

                       1 session class   - session is 1. hours
                       Includes: handout materials, on-line introductions to Medicare website,  
                       comprehensive overview of Medicare options. 

  • Care Coordiantion classes:  allowing you to better understand homecare, assisted living and 
​             nursing home care options.  Reviewing employer plans, Medicare, Medicaid, VA benefits as well
             as how to access on-line and local resources.    

                       1 session class  - session is 1. hours   
                       Includes: handout materials, on-line introductions to Benefitcheckup.org and 
                       Medicare website, community reources and more.

  • Retirement Income & Benefit Planning classesallowing you to work more effeicently with your financial advisors and other support team. We can provide you the ability to locate resources and know how to use financial information from the internet.  Class covers pension survivior benefits verses insurance options,  tax planning, securing retirement income, health care options and new retirement trends.
            
                       1 session class  - each session is 1.5. hours
                       Includes: handout materials, on-line introductions to Social Security & financial search engines.
                       

  • Tax planning classes : allowing you to better understand income distribution planning and the tax laws that affect you.  As in the example of Medicare Parts B & D,  your tax return can affect how much you pay for healthcare    Tax planning is essential!
             * Find our if you should do your own tax return and if so, what are your best options  

                       1 session class - session is 1. hours
                       Includes: handout materials, on-line introductions to on-line tax software, tax law updates.


  • Resolving legal issues and Asset Preservation workshops: allowing students to
             better identify their long term care and estate intentions while providing research on common 
             planning tool options.  Please see LISEC's "22 Planning Points of Interest" for topics covered in 
             our program.

                      1 session class  -  session is 2. hours
                      Includes: handout materials, on-line introductions to financial search engines,  law updates,
                      Trusts, Life Estates, Power of Attorney and Healthcare Proxies, Income Preservation options.


      
               
                     

CLASS  INSTRUCTION  DETAILS:  

     Saturday morning classes, Evening and Weekday classes are available.  Space is limited.  RSVP is  required.

THE COST  OF  AN EDUCATION  IS  MINIMAL

Donations are requested to reimburse LISEC for educational handout materials,
 course operation expenses such as interent and classroom expenses.
