Merri Ciano is a Certified Financial Planner™ and Certified Senior Advisor® with over 25 years of financial services experience. Among other accomplishments, Merri is a lead advisor for Bayview Economic Solutions Team, LLC (B.E.S.T.) and in recognizing a great need for education, she co-founded the Long Island Senior Education Council, a 501(c)3 learning and resource organization. Merri has previously worked alongside with representatives from the Suffolk County Department of Aging, Social Security and has partnered with Medicare in an effort to provide essential information regarding healthcare coordination. Promoting “self-education,” which as she explains is the taking on the responsibility of learning, Merri has proven to be most essential to pre-retirees and post-retirees who are making decisions about their healthcare choices. In her community she has helped established an Elder Care Advocacy Outreach Program at St. Patrick's Church in Bay Shore, NY. Additionally to regularly speaking at educational workshops, Merri offers individual assistance to retirees and their caregivers through the process of coordinating finances to afford healthcare (Financial-Healthcare Coordination). By providing personalized education materials and resources to address the financial-healthcare concerns we face today, Merri believes that we are improving the lives of our Long Island neighbors.
